I finally documented the PCjr Restore

The PCjr was the second computer I owned. It’s also the second computer I restored. In fact, I restored this computer before I knew this website/blog would ever be a thing.

This delay resulted in a lot of backtracking to figure out what I had done as two years had passed. It was fun to see all the interactions I had on Brutman.com, the hands-down authority on everything PCjr.

The PCjr enjoys a small but very enthusiastic fan base. In fact, I think they are probably the most loyal and enterprising fans in the restoration community. Clearly, like me, all these people owned one early on. In fact, they still do - or do again!

This was a great machine to learn the restoration game with. Parts are generally available, and the fans are vocal. Check out the write-up and let me know if you had a PCjr. Don’t worry, this is a safe space :-)
