This page contains links to excellent resources I have found along my journey. Some are just good sites or vendors. A lot I have formed relationships with over time and found to be trusted resources.

Shoot me a note if I should add one and I will. I’m constantly editing and adding to this as I literally have 100’s of resources I have acquired. I work on this part of the site when I think about it.

IBM PCjr

Mike Brutman runs the absolute authority on all things PCjr. There’s a strong PCjr following that actively participates in the forum that is part of his site. The site has excellent informative content as well. If you are doing anything with a PCjr, start here!

TexElect is a fantastic little company that makes a variety of different boards I use. They make and market the JRIDE (Jr IDE Board) as well as other non PCjr helper boards. Kevin and Sara are fantastic and even proactively contacted me when the board they produced might have had an error. Great people, sign up for their email list!

Silicon Graphics Parts

Ira Moser has, in storage, a lot of old SGI gear that he salvaged from Defense contractors about 20 years ago. Ira has been a world of help with my R3000 Indigo that I am currently working on. Personally, I would reach out and give him a call, he doesn’t feature a lot of his SGI stuff on the website. He knows a lot about SGI’s up and down the product chain!

I have not yet purchased anything from SGI Depot but they have a very comprehensive inventory list and probably worth reaching out if you are looking for something special.

SCSI2SD Boards and Software

Older versions of SCSI2SD board are widely available on the eBay for various prices. I believe all the older boards V5 and below you are just buying from a Chinese manufacturer which is fine. However, my suggestion is buying from Rabbit Hole computing their website is Inertial Computing. Alex Perez has been very helpful with various issues I’ve encountered and stands behind his product. I even bought a reworked board from him recently as I needed it and I trust these guys.

The firmware for the SCSI2SD boards all comes from Codesrc. This is your site for any SCSI2SD firmware upgrades or V6 configuration software.

Fixing Commodore Computers and Peripherals

The absolute bible site for Commodore 64 information is run by Ray Carlson. Ray was an electronic service technician his entire career and a bit of legend in the C64 community. Simply put if you need any in-depth hardware information on a Commodore computer or peripheral this is your place. The site is minimal, mostly directory listings of ascii documents, but there is no better source out there. I exchanged a few emails with Ray a while back and he is a great guy.

Sun Hardware Reference

This link contains a good hardware reference for various sun workstations.

Sun DIMM Pusher

When I was reassembling my SPARCstation 10, I found it hard to push the DIMMs into the slot with even force. I noticed in the SS10 reference that Sun would distribute a small plastic part that helped with the installation. I designed one myself and printed it in PLA for my own use. This is the STL file if you would like to print one yourself.
