Macintosh Color Classic

The Macintosh Color Classic, introduced in February 1993, was Apple’s first compact Macintosh to feature a color display. It combined the beloved all-in-one form factor of the original Macintosh with a 10-inch Sony Trinitron color CRT.

History

The Color Classic represented the end of an era for Apple’s compact Macintosh line. While it brought color to the classic form factor, it was also one of the last machines in this iconic design language before Apple shifted focus to other product lines.

Despite its relatively modest specifications, the Color Classic became popular in education and home markets where its compact size and color display were valued over raw performance.
